  1. This is a very brief introduction to the three new commands covered by
  2. QuickIRC.

  5. LIST 
  6.  
  7. Gives you a listing of available IRC channels. This includes
  8. channel name, the number of users, and a topic if one has been set. 
  9.  
  10. The list of channels may by restricted by using one or more of
  11. the following additions to the command:
  12.  
  13.         -MIN n          n is the minimum number of users.  Channels
  14.                         with fewer than n users will not be listed.
  15.         -MAX n          When n the maximum number of user.  Channels
  16.                         with more than n users will not be listed.
  17.         -PUBLIC         Only shows Public channels
  18.         -PRIVATE        Only shows Private (*) channels
  19.         -ALL            Overrides -PUBLIC and/or -PRIVATE and makes
  20.                 the server list all channels.
  21.         -TOPIC          Show channels which have a topic set
  22.         -WIDE           Shows channel names and sizes using the least
  23.                 amount of space possible.

  26. You can edit the 'List' file in QuickIRC to contain your own prefered
  27. /List options, including the use of * as a wild card. 
  28. eg:
  29. *uk     would list all channels ending in uk
  30. MIN 50  would list all channels with at least 50 people in them - just
  31. right for you party animals out there!

  35. LASTLOG
  36.  
  37. Shows you the messages which have previously been shown on
  38. your screen.  This is useful if you have cleared the screen, then want
  39. to view a previous messgae again, or if you want to scroll back to
  40. check something you missed earlier.

  42. By adding a number after the command ( /Lastlog n ) you can specify
  43. how many entries are to be recalled.  Thus /Lastlog 5 will re-display
  44. the 5 most recent lines.  The command '/Lastlog All will display the
  45. entire log contents.

  47. You can edit the LastLog file in QuickIRC to contain your prefered
  48. values.

  52. TRACE
  53.  
  54. This traces the route taken by messages between you and the person you
  55. name in the command.  This can be useful if you need to find the
  56. source of lag between you because it identifies each server your
  57. messages pass through.  By moving to a server further up the list you
  58. can often reduce the lag.
